The project is located in Rade Bitange, close to Hotel Ruza and ideally located between the Boulevard and Old Town. The project has permits in place for a 1000m2 hostel, arranged in two buildings and interspersed by a spacious courtyard, which will provide excellent outside space for guests. In addition to the rooms which can accommodate up to 70 guests, additional facilities include restaurant and bar, internet, conference room, in-house travel agency and laundry facilities. The hostel is just 200m from the Old Town. Mostar is already a growing tourist destination, with more than 700,000 tourists a year. Once the issues surrounding Mostar airport are resolved (last year's commercial traffic - 12,000, pre-war traffic - 100,000), several low-cost airlines are ready to fly into the city, which will bring an additional tourist boom. There is currently no other budget facility in so central a location to cater for such a large number of tourists and offer such a range of facilities. As such, the hostel offers an excellent investment opportunity for sustained income generation. Various banks have indicated that they are willing to finance the project. The current owners are looking to either sell the project with full permits in place for the reconstruction (difficult to obtain in the Old Town area) or to go into partnership with serious investors.
